If you have a very good command of English, know the culture and are very familiar with the industry in which you are going to be a sales person, you may consider it as an option. Sales is a very demanding job.

我觉得做Sales 是要天赋的,如果你有此天赋,有IT 工作也应磁掉。一个好的Sales 的收入是IT 没法比的。我们公司开最好车的就是做Sales 的。

You're right. You need to be very aggressive, smart, well trained, and understand how to generate leads, nurse them and close a sale. Sales also require you having very good interpersonal skills.

I learned from the Internet that there is a sales certificate called CSP in Canada. Do you guys think it may help?

It may help. But your ability to be a sales person, your willingness to travel, your endurance to long and tired some prospecting and your adaptability are really the key factors of your success.

I think you could try "inside sales" first. That has less pressure and relatively easier

Inside sales is the in-house sales person that manages existing accounts, develops new accounts and handles sales related issues such as arrange meetings with prospects, clients or analyses sales data etc.

我觉得你千万不要盲目的去学什么CSP,SALES的技巧绝对是天赋你应该对自己有个正确的评价,你适合做SALES吗?其实有很多这类的工作机会.....为什么你不先试一试?TELEMARKETING,ROGERS CABLE推销,商场售货员等等,你会很快知道自己是不是适合做这行.我有一个朋友现在做职业中介,其实也是一种SALES,但她真的很适合做,每天拿着电话号码本打电话,不怕被拒绝,不怕别人不耐烦,她的客户最多,现在是她给脸色给老板看,她还琢磨着要自己开公司呢.
也许你说的SALES比我举的这些例子都要高一层次,但我觉得根本是一样的,宗旨都是要卖掉东西,如果你这些底层的SALES 都做不了,劝你不要盲目该行,更不要去学什么,那样的话你投资就太大了,

本人已经做sales几年了,从来都认为这是个很有挑战的工作,来到加拿大后还是觉得做maketing最合适自己,并且,发现一家很好的公司。。。。
