所以说还是保守党的6周较可行，因为一般的工作岗位，6周的leave老板会批，而6个月的就不一定会批，因为虽说是job protected leave,但具体操作起来，雇主还是有一定作用的，想想有哪个雇主有那么大的冗余雇员去cover 6个月的leave.只有工会成员和政府部门。所以这些人会加倍loyal to liberal.

其实这个benefit还是为工会成员和公务员设计的, 想一想有哪个雇主会乐意有雇员动不动拿6个月的leave.当然普通员工也有可能得益.但会有很多永远都不怕被炒掉的人会abuse it.

这是一个job-pretected leave, 至少在安省, 雇主是不可以解雇的. "Most provincial and territorial labour codes provide job protection for workers in this type of family situation. " and "Family medical leave is ... job-protected leave" in Ontario.
