I think that's major problem in Canada's HR management.Everyone is working on "termed" contract, from CEO to entry level, get paid and that's it.
nobody invest in long term development of a business, if a company is going down, everybody want it bankrupt ASAP to get severance, no one bother to fix problem.

You are a very capable boss, because you are able to replace his task, previous deemed as critical job, with simple and easy ones. He's not smart enough to realize that his role is replaceable. The moral of this story: be a team player.

俺每天都有几个termination 文件从手里过，很多都是工作十几年的老员工，理由就是orgnizational change， elimination of the position，回头老板就接着招人，本来还想内部蹦达蹦达，现在哪也不敢动了，每天上班就想着门卡不好用了，交笔记本让回家了啥的。大家都养家糊口的不容易，得饶人处且饶人比较好。
