I'm not so optimistic about this.I'm not so optimistic about this. With so much outsourcing, IT workers are facing the fate as the manufacturing workers. The best thing we can hope for is being able to bring paychecks to the home until the day we retire. In other words, not getting laid off again and again, because it will become harder and harder to land your next IT job due to a shrinking job pool.

The fact that IT job 'pie' is getting smaller and smaller due to outsourcing is worrying a lot of peopleWhen there are less and less IT jobs on the Canadian job market, the remaining IT workers have to become technically stronger and stronger, and work harder and harder in order to protect their jobs. Just like the best shoemaker in the world will not be able to find work in Canada because this country does not make shoes anymore. This trend is worrisome. But for most IT workers, changing career is not easy either. Sigh
