That means you are going to be a Registered (Licensed) Professional Engineer in Canada. Your salary could be raised up, your postion could be moved up, and it would be easy to find a well-paid engineering job.

Congratulations! Can you advice?Why it take so long time to apply this? In my office many people are PE, but I am still not. Do I need to wait for one year untill I could apply? Or it is just only after one year the lisence could be issued?

我的印象是2年工作经验就可以了不过其中一年必须在加拿大.但是没有证书就难找工作,没有工作就没有证书.不要证书的工作很少.所以这些行业得到保护不被新移民侵入.而计算机就是没有这种东西所以现在才这么滥!

You are right. 但从去年开始，要求降低了，如果你有5年经验，就可以给你面试机会. 对年轻的工程师很有利！
