I don't think that the increased premium is a main result of your job. Monnex usually gives a new customer a 10% discount for the first year's .the discount will be autometically invalid from the second year, and combinating some other factors, that the second year's premium goes up to 10%~20% is not unusual. generally, some people go to get the G license to lower the increasing rate.
one factor resulting the increasing rate is that, after you get a job, the milage you drive a year usually is longer than that before your getting the job. this is a real possiblity causing your increased premium.

我觉得你的保费还行。我的corolla 98 VE 要 167$ ，明年 要涨到 183$。 亏的刚考下G 牌，明年交150多了·还是偏贵，可也找不到更便宜的了。
