Phone interviews normally mean you're hirednot because of your people skills, or anything like that, but highlights of your technical knowledges and your previous experiences. Unless there's a budget to it to meet in person.

As a matter of fact, phone interview is often the first part of hiring process after pre-screening. There could be 5 or more people interviewed for one position.

把可能要问到的问题，先写下来，多说几遍。反正我觉得说话前先组织一下语言，比临时说时要流利一点。

我为第一个电话面试准备了两天两夜，简历、自我介绍、公司情况和预先准备的专业和非专业问题答案贴满了书桌处的墙面，英文专业书籍书本放手边备用，电脑处于联网状态待命，象大战前夕一样。结果电话面试20分钟，只是了解一些基本面的问题，如以前工作、目前状况、项目及使用技术概况等。虽然如此，个人认为怎么认真准备都不过分，同时调整好心态，流畅沟通很重要。
