讨厌的是，不光是政府，对于一些需要往返美加边境的职位（也许一年只有一两次），现在好多公司都在考虑只招Citizen了，原因是边境检查越来越严，越来越麻烦。

A background check procedure sometimes required. You don't need to worry about it for now. just go apply. they'll let you know whether a citizenship is required.
