You got to understand basic monetary theory. It does not matter when they cash out HKD because HK gov't can print more HKD. The real danger is when foreign assets are being transferred out from Hong Kong, because HK gov't cannot print USD.This hasn't happened yet, at least at the end of July, Hong Kong's foreign currency reserve is still raising compared to June. August month end figure will be out soon and we will know what happened in August.
