hi, don't accuse everyone of TsingHuaJust like these guy say: there are good guy and bad guy everywhere. If for write recommend letter, I think you can't expect professor to write every letter of his students. You know, especially in Tsinghua, so many students could go abroad. So, write and let him sign, that's right, no shame.

中国的招生体制就和美国的不同，其实作假不过是为了好拿钱而已。总体而言，我觉得TH学生的学业素质都不错，读MIT都没问题。不过近来为什么留学还那么火？TH学生每个人应该好好：根据每个人的实际情况想想自己的未来之路，不要一股风的去做事。他们需要的是提高自己的设计自己未来之路的能力而不是学术能力。BILL。GATES，杨自远都没毕业，一样干事业，中国人五千年的以读书中举为根的思想是不是该改改了？我相信其实那些TH学生如果学士出来就去社会锻炼，他们会更有成就。象这种TH读完读MIT的作法使人越读越书生气，顶多做个学术尖子。我见过许多TH出来的学生，在学校不是尖子，但人家在校就全面发展出来后开公司的开公司，干事业的干事业，都比那帮留学派混得好。 -whitetiger(whitetiger); 2001-4-19 {452} (#48808@0)

2~3 months ago, we have 2 TH candidates who are 87 and 89 M.SC. After phone interview, we like to set a face to face interview with them and said: "please bring certificated Xue3Li4 with you!" Guess what:BOTH of them cancled the face interview on the morning with the EXACTLY same reason: " I just got an offer this morning .. blah blah."
