The Ethernet cards and crosslink cable have been connected, with the network setup also has been done, but it doesn't work. My computer can access the internet, my OP is Windows 2000 professional. The other one's OP is Windows ME.

Thank you man!! Pls check whether the network configurations are correct.Sorry. I didn't make my question clear. The ISP service I used is Bell Sympatico Highspeed. The question is that the two computer can not communicate right now.
The network configurations are as follows.
My computer is used as the server with the local IP address 192.168.0.1. The second computer's IP is 192.168.0.2 with its gateway set as 192.168.0.1 (my computer). The DNS Configurations are the same IP which is what I used to access the internet.
Is that OK? Pls send me several words.

Just configure the static ip of your wingate server machine, and let your client machine get dynamic ip from dhcp server in wingate.

you can try this,i think it will work.in your ie menu(windows me ),tool->internet option->connection->LAN setting,there is a proxy option,input your ip address(windows 200) in "address",and normally the "port number" for http is 80.you can try it,i think it will work.
