本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛干treasury这行的经常会遇上些有趣的事儿，今天在米国NYC的一位同行(A)就有幸遇上了。。。
同行(A)：“有一客户委托我们公司代购一件货品，价格大约是十万美元，好不容易找到了卖家后，卖家竟然提出要求用gold来付款。卖家说对美元失去了信心，觉得还是gold可保值，最放心。头疼啊。。。该咋办呢？”
热心的同行(B)第一个回复了：“十万美元等于105 ounces of gold. 可以考虑帮客户买每个one-ounce的 gold coins. 那就是almost 6.6 pounds of gold coins. 可问题是，how are you going to deliver the 6.6 pounds of gold coins to the seller？ I don't think it is wise to carry $100,000 worth of gold coins in a paper bag and walk down the streets of New York. 可以找家armed delivery service to deliver the coins, but who is going to bear the costs? ”
同行(C)的回复：“何必那么麻烦？给卖家一张十万美元的支票，然后带着他去一家local gold coin shop / gold exchange，让他自己在那买。”
同行(D)的回复：“赞成(C)的建议”
同行(E)的回复：“How about use ETF gold fund rather than actual gold"
今天整天都不断有热心的同行在给(A)出主意。想想实在觉得挺可笑的，美国人对自己的货币都失去了信心，说不定这gold 啥时候就成为美国的transactional currency 了！更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
