1) 又快到年底了，我们公司其中的一家financing company 的account manager前几个星期打电话来说要在年底前来公司拜访偶和偶老板，顺便做个annual account review。可就在今天，收到了那位account manager 发来的e-mail “I regret to advise that I have to cancel our meeting previously scheduled for Dec xx. Due to the volatility in the market today our company has policy restricting all travel until further notice. ” 看了e-mail 后，偶老板一脸疑惑的问偶 “how far is the travelling for her?", 偶很认真的回答道 "quite far, from North York!".

2) 又快到年底了，公司的auditors 已经开始为年底审计做准备了。以前她们每个季度来，到了周五都会公司corporate finance部门的员工买咖啡和donuts，以表示对客户的appreciation。可又是在今天，一位senior audit manager 很不好意思悄悄告诉我们，firm为了cut costs，以后周五只能为你们买donuts了，咖啡就没了。偶晕。。
