ANALYST - INVESTMENT BENCHMARKING
Salary: C$55,000 to $70,000
Reporting to the Manager Investment Benchmarking, this position’s main role is to produce client
reports and analyses. The Analyst fosters client relationships, ensures the integrity of clients’
data and undertakes continuous improvement of databases and reporting programs.

U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe. They constitute an impressive list of blue-chip corporate

defined benefit pension investments, defined contribution pension investments and pension

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Client reporting (80% of the job and the backbone of our business)
Work with clients, often on the telephone, to ensure accurate, consistent data
Analyze client results, create reports and write executive summaries.
Support the other analysts and share responsibility for the team’s output.
Implement quality control processes.
2. Programming (20% of the role)
Modify client reporting, improve report production processes and other aspects of the product
Undertake occasional research projects to mine our database.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Critical Behaviour Factors
Initiative – Systematic - Superior analytic skills – Thorough – Good interpersonal skills
Skills & Requirements
University degree required – best fit probably from applied sciences or business
Aptitude/experience in programming and relational databases. We use Excel, Visual Basic,
SQL Server and Access.
Knowledge of investments/finance desirable - candidate should be willing to study for
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, if not already a charter holder
Quantitative skills desirable – mathematics, statistics
Zero to five years experience
English is principal language - French or Dutch desirable
