34 convictions earn you the right,
To be a Political Prisoner, in the fight,
In good company with Mandela and Gandhi,
Brave men who stood for justice, strong and free.
Jailed for their views by a fascist state,
Their courage never did abate,
Though hardship met them at every turn,
To lead their lands, they would return.
But not all dissidents have such fate,
Navalny's voice silenced by the gate,
In prison he perished, elections denied,
No chance to let his people's voices cry.
Biden holds judges in his grip tight,
Prosecutor Shokin removed from sight,
Hunter’s dealings, shadowed and concealed,
In the power game, truths are often repealed.
Trump convicted in a show trial’s blaze,
Paying hush money in media’s gaze,
If Trump paid, then Stormy’s act must be,
Blackmail’s shadow, muddied waters we see.
Justice and power, a tangled dance,
In politics’ game, few get a chance,
Convictions and truths, hidden or bright,
In this murky realm, who discerns the light?
