I've talked with a local guy, he said universities in canada have no big difference. they are all supported by goverment. That's why lot's of people refuse the Mclean's ranking. few people in canda interest in ranking universities.

Nah. UW has the best EE program. My friend in first year EE, 1st coop worked for Analog Device (ADI), second coop working for Texas Instrument (TI). For UT or McMaster EE, they can't even get those job after graduate.

There's no such thing as E-business program in Canada.Canadian universities doesn't offer specific technical program. That's what separate us from colleges. if you wanna learn E-Business, you have to go for College. University teaches you general principle of programming and business concept. But you have to apply those theory and concept at work to learn E-Business. Like my first coop in University of Waterloo was to develop on-line banking application but my program is just computer science.

Dalhousie is crappy. I don't even know it until I search it on the internet. Look at UW, UT, Simon Fraser, Queen's, UTO, UBC, McGrill, none of those big brand names provide E-business degree program. They all provide general computer science.

Dalhousie is the first one to offer e-commerse degree in Canada. Nothing wrong with it. It's just a reserach direction.If there is market, it's going to carry on. If not, no student will go and it will die. It can not be used to hold against a university.

Not quite. Dalhousie Law and dental is very good.As computer science, it is more science oriented than engineering till TUNS being merged in. It should be similar to OU or carleton U. I would say not the best one, but is an OK one. Definetely not a crappy one. It's just a fact. I don't have to defend it. Don't take it personal too. A lot of people try to get information from here. Staying with the facts will be more helpful to others.

Don't think so........Ask how many people know that school........In Eastern Canada, only Simon Fraser, UBC and U of Alberta is good. Others are all crappy.

Guess you have no idea of east and west of Canada :). In Maritime, Dalhousie is considered no less than UBC for sure.However, it does not make sense if oneself is a loser even he/she have a degree from the best university.
