Employment Insurance. that is, in case you are laied off after xxx hours of working, you can apply for EI and get 55% of your monthly income paid to you while you are looking for your next job.

You have to pay a mandatory premium for each hour worked to insure yourself in the case of laid off.

ah, yes. If you are working as a full-time employee, everything will be taken care of by the payroll system. but if you are self-employed, it gets qutie complicated here.

so it means that while anyone start to work he/she shuold apply the EI? to the employer of just any Insurance Company? THANX!!!and is there any minium work time limitations? can anyone with EI get paid all the time that did not got job again? How to apply the EI?
