oh, that's phone call is regarding my job application (s/w developer). he asked me something, then invited me to meet him today. i knew this is an immediate position(i sent my resume the day before yesterday), and i really want to get this job, so i asked an interview on monday.since i screwed up the last interview with another company, i didnt do anything for improving my interview skills. last time, they ask me about the salary i expected, then i felt it's hard to say. could somebody can share your experience how to answer such question? my situation is i want the job, not too much care about the salary.

2. if interviewer is still asking for salary expectation, u should say the range like between $45k - $55 based on ur experience & ur age, but remember, don't say too low, instead u should say something higher expectation, which shows ur confidence for this job.

Once I spent more than 30min talking with the HR guy about the salary. And finally he gave up, and told me the price they would give. And I asked 5k more.:-)) Good luck!

when you negotiate salary, you need to take the position and the employer into consideration. I think the salary around 55,000 is good for normal s/w developer. I used to be negotiate a low salary in my job hunting. it always failed. But I wanted a higher salary 75,000 once, then succeded. Never be humble!!
