I am a graduating MBA and got an offer from one of the major banks at Toronto. The position is in the financial management area. I was lucky but it is really hard to consider that whether I should accept it or not. I understand that the current job market is very hard to get an offer, but I am interested in the M&A and portfolio management areas. Obviously, there is no guarantee of an M&A or PM offer in the future. It seems impossible to transfer from the financial management area to M&A or PM once I graduated from the MBA program. Should I grab the first cone or decline it at a big opportunity cost? I appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice and suggestion.
