when I proudly showed my transcript to my Canadian friends, they didn't look very impressed. Because my university in China translated "you1" as A, "liang2" as "B", "zhong1" as "C". We had a mix of percentage and ABCD. When Canadians see so many Bs and just a few As, they think my GPA is just average. But actually, "you1" is 100-90, "liang2" is 90-80, "zhong1" is 80-70. In Canadian system, C is barely pass. B is so so. A is good. Some school has A+. I wish I could change my transcript accordingly, not cheating, just relect my real grade.
