That is the normal practice. Read your offer carefully before you sign it. If that is true, why you cannot leave the employer with 24 hours' notice from you? It is fair and square.

Do not worry. You will be fine if you know the rules. The most important think is to READ the offer CAREFULLY and FOLLOW it STRICTLY.
