本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Up to 1/3 MBA colleagues made career change in my school. My humble advice:
1. Use your network to find someone who made similar switch before. Get yourself introduced, then ask your question. If you are persistent and ask politely, some people will reply. Personally, I'd start from Linkedin.
2. Use school's career management service and prof to introduce you to alumni who can help you.
3. Research what designation is popular in the operation management field. Work to get those which will be sought after in the industry you are the most interested in.
4. Make your biggest effort to get a summer intern job in the operation management field. Companies are usually more open-minded when they hire temporary talent than permanent. This is true experience from my MBA year. But mine is full time, if you got it from part-time, then it's hard.
5. Look for opening which also requires solid financial knowledge in operation management field. For example, every operation department must include some staffs to analyze input and output data and provide insights for continuous improvement.
just my 2 cents.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
