5. Company A acknowledges that, save and except as provided herein to the contrary and particularly Paragraph 6 hereof, the Contractor is free to provide services to other organizations or to be employed by other organizations provided that, the provision of such services and/or such employment shall not hinder or impair in any manner whatsoever the Contractor’s ability to fulfil his obligations pursuant to the terms of this Agreement or any renewal hereof
6.1 Without limiting the generality of the provisions of Paragraph 5 above, the Contractor covenants and agrees that he will not, at any time during the term of this Agreement and any renewal hereof and for a period of one (1) year after the termination of this Agreement, either individually or in partnership or jointly or in conjunction with any person or persons, firm, association, syndicate, company or corporation as principal, agent, shareholder, employee or in any other manner whatsoever, carry on or be engaged in or concerned with or interested in or advise, lend money to, guarantee the debts and obligations of or knowingly permit his name or any part thereof to be used or employed by any person or persons, firm, association, syndicate, company or corporation engaged in or concerned with or interested in a business which is competitive with the business carried on by Company A within the Province of Ontario
