Problem Description:
The Head Unit Is Displaying An E04 Message On The Display. CDX EXCD WX
Solution:
This message refers to the CD Player laser not being able to read the disc. Please try the following
steps to resolve this issue.
1.Try to playback several different discs. If the other discs play normally, the problem may be
with the original disc. Try cleaning the disc.
2.Check all wires to verify a good connection.
3.It is possible the laser pick up is dirty. Please consult with a qualified technician for cleaning.
NOTE: The "Head Unit" is the in dash receiver unit.
Problem Description:
ATT Is Displayed On The Head Unit.
Solution:
The ATT function of CDX Sony car stereo units mutes the receiver when a cellular phone call is
received. This is a normal message for the conditions described above.
If this error is displayed and a cellular telephone call is not being received, or a cellular telephone is
not installed, please contact the Customer Information Services Center at (800-222-7669) for further
assistance.
NOTE: The "Head Unit" is the in dash receiver unit.

Solution:
This error can be caused by power fluctuations received by the components.
The reset button on the modulator will need to be pressed. Please contact the system installer for
assistance in locating the modulator. After pressing this reset button, the clock and tuner presets
