本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I've put many posts on my old Accord 86, which is still perfect. But, I would like to imagine how I should choose my next ideal car if money is NOT the only concern:
(1) If I were very rich, I'll NOT buy Honda because afterall Honda is for the popular car for the mass.
(2) If I were working and thought I belonged to Yupi class, I'll buy a new Honda if I am not so fancy and still money-oriented. But I may buy other fancier cars other than Honda if I were quite young. After all, Honda is to some degree money-saver motivated.
(3) if I were working and thought I still need to save money, I'll buy a used
Honda newer than 1997 and not obviously abused. In this case, I have escaped the first 3-year depreciation period, in which a new car depreciates half of its value, while in the same time my car is still VERY new. --- From this time on, I'll begin maintaining on it so that it will serve me MUCH longer and safer.
As a conclusion: (a) for those rich Chinese friends, don't buy a leathered new Honda. There are other sports/brand cars with a little bit more money. (b) for those struggling brothers, buy a used Honda when it's around 3 years old.
(c) for those poor brothers, buy a 12 years old Honda cheap and spend extra money on it to make it woring well.
