They still belong to technical jobs, but with more businss knowledges. we need still to sharpen your technical skills and learn more even u are doing these jobs. Though they're not as detail related as a developer. But it does require people to learn new things fast, even faster than a regular roadmap developer.
So if there's challenge for aged person to do a techinical job, it will be similar challenge for these jobs too.
Pure people management is different. It's not a tech job at all. But it requires its own skillset.
Training is a tech-related job, but focusing on different things. It actually requires less tech than all above jobs. But to live on a pure training work requires us to pick an area and get some certificates. Such as CCIE.
Business (sales/marketing has almost nothing to do with tech. But it needs a skill or talent (or even gifted) to be a good salesman or marketing man. If's not easy for a pure tech person to become a successful salesman.
Operation is a low-level technical jobs. It only requires some specific techs. So conceptually, we should be able to do it even when we're 60 year old. But we need to find a stable employer, such as government, or oil company. Don't expect such a job will give you big compensation.
Conceptually, it's not because we are not qualified as tech mgr in NA even from english point of view. All these skills can be gained. Just because employers have better choices than us.
This is the fact of the world. Not every talence will get its full chance.
The same rule applies to Haigui. Maybe we're qualified for many good positions. But employers do not have to hire us with big compensation. They can have other alternatives (way much more). So our career of Haigui will be even more limited since we asked too much. The higher the position, the less number of people are needed.
