” 有些市场上的工作,看起来非常简单,我的资历是绰绰有余。但是结果却被拒,为何?“
” 有些很简单的 entry level job, 我申请后毫无音信。但是,过几个月后有重新出现。这样简单的工作难道就招不到人?!”

找工作是的过程是一个黑匣子,只知道结果,不知道为何。如同中医一样,知其然而不知其所以然。每个人不成功的原因众多,五花八门应有尽有。但是,其中有一个原因,可能有些人根本没有想到过: 有些工作招聘,根本就是假的!
根据我的观察,市场上的假工作假招聘大概分成三类:
1. By job agency.
The first category is created by job agency. They don’t have any job
openings yet, they just want to collect resume and update their resource
database
2. By work seeking websites.
The second one is by the Indeed Monster Workpolis websites
Sometimes the roles are filled already. But these websites need ample job openings to attract people. So they may repost the jobs again after sometime even already fille.
3. By real employers
The third one is the most tricky one and hardest to tell. Sometimes a company has an internal candidate already and decided to give the offer. However the company policy requires to post jobs publicly for fair competition. Then they will do it just to go through the process. For example the government jobs have to post publicly otherwise it’s against the policy.

以前有个学生, 拿到 Blue Jays 的面试机会。第一轮电话面试之后,给她发了一个 take home test,让她三天做完, 然后发回去。
这个学生是 McMaster 数学系的硕士毕业,非常优秀。她做完后,我还帮她 review 和润色 …. 结果发出后如同石沉大海,几次 follow up 也没有任何回音。
实际上那个职位要求并不高,我觉得我的学生,去做绰绰有余,至少应该有下一轮面试,但是….
后来,冷静下来,我想了想,很有可能 Blue Jays 这个 team 真正的目的不是招聘,而是 collect ideas and analytic solutions. 这就是 real world!
