In my years of IT (or other) experience,
I've spent most of my time in catching up new technologies and improving my skills. I now realized that one have better understanding of business process and logics with strong IT knowledge and skills would be best IT expert.
Sometimes when business poeple with lack of IT knowledge sent some ambiguous requirements, the efforts of understanding each other came as very time consuming tasks. I think this is my biggest disadvantage.
In the future, I will spend some time with business poeple to understand their woking process and expectation of IT systems, give more time to business analysis skills and practice. To cover this area can give me great help on IT system design, implementaion and deployment, and my knowledge and skills can be applied into business supporting much better.
