DATABASE ANALYSTS:
This particular opportunity involves the design, maintenance and support of large databases application for our client in the telecommunication sector.
Assigned tasks are focused on data management services required during development and post implementation phases including the database support function.
The role also involves interacting with the end clients, software and hardware vendors, and development teams. Due to the critical nature of the position, 7/24 availability on a rotational basis, shift work and overtime are required.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline complemented by a minimum of 1-year co-op work experience in a database related role using Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or DB2. Basic conceptual knowledge in client server and database areas is also required. Direct experience working with Databases or Certifications such as OCP/MCSDBA will be considered strong assets. Strong verbal and written communication skills are an absolute must.
PROGRAMMER ANALYSTS:
As a Programmer Analyst you will be responsible for the development, enhancement and support of network inventory and service provisioning based systems. The role also involves interacting with the end clients and development teams, as well as participating in multiple projects at the same time.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline complemented by a minimum of 1-year co-op experience in a database related role using Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or DB2. Basic conceptual knowledge in client server and database areas is also required. Direct experiences working with Databases and/or Certifications such as OCP/MCSDBA are strong assets.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Technically, you have strong System Analysis, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and Java skills. Experience with mainframe skills (CICS, COBOL, DB2) would be considered an asset for this team.
SYSTEM SUPPORT ANALYSTS:
Working in a small team of 7-10 professionals, the successful candidate will provide support services to a mission critical point-of-sale application (UNIX based).
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. While on-the job training will be provided, the successful candidate should have prior summer or work-term experience that has provided them with an introduction to computer systems, programming and support. Experience programming in Java, C and PowerBuilder, is required. Exposure to UNIX and SQL is preferred. As Fusion System Support Analyst you will be responsible for multiple projects at the same time. Due to the critical nature of the position, the successful candidate will carry a pager, be required to be available 7/24 on a rotational basis, and work overtime as required. No travel is anticipated for this position.
E-BUSINESS ANALYSTS:
As e-Business Analyst you will work to build e-Business solutions and integrate enterprise systems using the latest technologies such as J2EE, Vitria, Oracle 9iAS, and Web Logic.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing, customizing and supporting development using cutting edge technology. You will be working in a large, hybrid technical environment with many of the latest tools in development and customization. You will have the opportunity to be trained in other development technologies and apply them on projects at CGI.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, including 1-2 years of co-op experience in information system development. Experience programming in Java/J2EE, HTML, UNIX and Oracle are required. Experience programming with Vitria, DB2, SQL, MQ Series, and Siebel is preferred.
