Law and dentist programs are top in Canada. Science program is pretty good too. Now, maybe Engineer program is good too because they shamelessly took over TUNS 5 years ago. The weak programs are probably Business Programs. Well, SMU is old too so Dal can't just merge again like what they did to TUNS.

Halifax is a very beautiful city. During the summer, you can drive to Point Pleasant Park and take a nice walk there. You would never get tired of the park. It is just right by the atlatic ocean, very beautiful.

People in maritime are very friendly too. They are quite conservative. But if you make true friends with them, it could be a life long friendship.

I am sorry you are not having good time there. I did.

Dalhousie is a good English university with fairly high standard and long history. Halifax is a beautiful city. Living expenses are lower than Toronto. -oldie(OLDSTER); 2003-2-13 (#1039996@0)

living expenses are lower. The renting fee maybe a little bit lower but the food is more expensive especially Chinese food.

You may also want to check the tuition fee there. The last time I checked, Dal had the highest tuition fee in Canada. .

Dalhousie is not a good university as u thought except for the law is the best in Canada. Also Nova Scotia is a garbag province, the people there is not very friendly, there is no beautiful scene at all in Halifax.
I am now in Dal, i do not like here, rental cost maybe lower but food and transportation are expensive.
