Well if you stick to what your "old" "fun" definition, that may be the case. But here are a couple of things you can give it a try...
1. My Appartment
Do you want to go? Absolutely not. But this one is actually a bar full of loud pop music, where you can meet young college dudes and girls. It's located at the Disco district, which is centered around Adelaide Street, west of Youge. There you drink beers and make friends. There's a John Street and a Peter Street. Check out the pubs there too.
If you're single or quasi-single, Saturday night is when you may get lucky there.
2. Hooters
Hooters is a kind of American sports bar, where you will find TVs playing sport games, American burgers and beers. I say it's kinda of because it's not only a sports bar.
Pay attention to the name "Hooters", notice that 2 big "O"s? Yup, you may have guessed it. ;) The waitress there dress a little more liberally, shall we say. Rumor has it that if an applicant don't have that two big "o"s, they may not have that waitress job.
Okay, that may not be a total Canadian thing, but hey, there's one right on the corner of King Street and Aldelaide (if I remember correctly).
I know what you are thinking, and the answer is "!NO!"
You will see sometimes the tourists bring with them their young kids to have a meal there. That's NOT the titty bar you are thinking of...
