it is easier if u have mechanical background, especially if u have hands-on skills. but if u don't, u will have to spend a lot of time to get confidence of this kind of work.
once u r a mechanic, u will be paid by hour rate,from your boss.
he will NOT be happy if u spend 4 hours on a 2-hour job.
so to be competitive mechanic, it is VERY important that u have good, full set of tools. this will make ur job efficient. but good tools, like Snap-on,Mac, are Very expensive, even though they have life-time warrantee.
once u spend a lot of money on the tools, u will probably be extremely unwilling to switch to other careers.
once u get certified, and start the mechanic job, u will find u are PUSHED during the work, under the SRT ( standard repair time). ......mmmmmmm......it might be fun if u rrrrrrrrealy love to repair autos.
