Hence I assume it is better in Canada according to average salary level. Anyway it is a temporary job.
While I HAVE TO stay in Canada for the next 3 years there are not many opportunities for working in the States though there are many good labs. Things in Toronto is aweful. However, by working in the Wayne State Uni in Detroit, which is also a yuk uni, the pay is better than that in U of T.
Meanwhile, I am planning to get through the Medical Registration Exam like USMLE or MCC, which may be real good direction. Who knows..

BTW, salary in U of T actually depends on y our boss, you can bargain, but don't expect higher than 40K CD$.

For myself in Medicine, basically molecular biology, you can find from the homepage of Universities, look for "Prospective staff" or "Careers". Also at the homepage of Canaadian Institute of Medical Research, or Health Canada. There are lots of positions available at the NATURE and SCIENCE journals websites.
